Siddalee Marie O'Connell was close to her Mother and Step brother, she loved them dearly, but a couple days before her 10th birthday, she lost them in a tragic car accident. Her step-father, not wanting the responsibilities of raising a 10 year old girl, fled, never to be heard from again.

The group home that Sidda had been placed in was horrible, absolutely horrible. She had only been there a day or two before she packed up some clothes, the few things she had of her brother's and Mothers, her bat and violin, and then headed off, getting a bus ticket to Hathian. You'd think the bus people would worry about a little girl getting on a bus all on her own, but Sidda had told the Bus people that her father was waiting for her, they bought it ( or most likely, they didn't care since they were extremely busy that day) and she was off to Hathian!, why Hathian you ask? Because that's where her 'real' father was. At least, that's what her mother had told her. Everytime she asked her mother about her father, her mother would say the same thing. " You're father, -ha! He's down livin' in that Hell-Hole Hathian, an yanno why? cause you're father is the Devil himself! that's why." Sidda would always nod and then would run along and play, but now she was worried, what if her father was the Devil? not THE Devil obviously, but a horrible man? Why did he leave her and never come back? these were just some questions she wanted him to answer...if only she knew his damn name.

So for now, Sidda is living on the streets, playing her violin on street corners and such, earning enough money to feed herself, and always wondering how in the hell she's going to find her devil of a father.
