Story:

In the dead of winter Fae got the bright idea to finally take up the offer to move to Hathian with her cousin, thinking moving to the South would be much warmer than the frigged winter of New York. Fae grew up in a rather sheltered environment, a cousin to the infamous Gambino family, her parents rarely let her see anything that went on. Having no siblings, she liked to hang out with her cousins but was always left out of a lot of things they did. Fae was heart broken when her older cousin moved away, but was more then delighted to hear from him again when he contacted her just before coming to Hathian.

Fresh out of college, Hathian seemed the place to start her career and get away from the crime ridden streets of home, big mistake. A few weeks after arriving she applied and was accepted to not only work for the Police but for the newspaper as well. Wanting to do some undercover work, she quickly found out that it wasn't going to happen and found a way to combine both talents. She has since become a full officer and is doing her best to influence the public opinion of the police department from scorn to appreciation and praise.

But joining the police wasn't all warm and fuzzy like she expected it to be, not realizing what this would do to her family. Not even two days in, she was already at odds with her cousin, who deemed it necessary to tell the entire family what she had done. But who can blame him? she never was good at the family business but becoming a 'nark' as he called her, was unacceptable.

After realizing she was never going to regain the trust of her family, who now thinks she is dead, she gave up and started concentrating on what she had to do: show her cousin she can be better than him. This lasted all of a few weeks when their relationship suddenly is on thin ice. Becoming every more paranoid that Fae is telling family secrets, her cousin decides it's time to put a short leash on her, testing her loyalty to him and the family by giving her small tasks through out the city, using her badge as an advantage.

But, even with her cousin back on her side, this sweet, innocent blonde had a wake up call at the tune of a metal pipe beat against her head, twice. After a few days in the hospital and one break down, she changed her whole outlook on everything. Now proudly supporting a scar on her neck, and probably one on her face, she dyed her hair dark, got colored contacts and inked. Quite the little rebel now, she doesn't take crap from anyone and it seems all her friends more than approve of this new Fae.
