BACKGROUND: Primary goal (OOC): The goal of this group is to role play a realistic gang cell within the United States, given that the group has ties to both Korea and Japan; they would have connections to family related cartels in Japan and Korea. The goal is to stay off the radar by setting up legitimate businesses as well to mask Illegal ventures for long term operations. The gang aims to be a stable group that icly reflects old school Japanese and Korean heritage as well as portraying an interesting and centered role play for those who are interested in a more stable criminal setting. Summary: The Kyūsen are heavily influenced by a mixture of Japanese Yakuza and Korean Kkangpae (gang), the majority of their ranking and organization is based off a mixture of the two groups. The Kyūsen are open to all who are worthy of the name, all members are tested accordingly and must earn their place as the name isn’t given lightly. History of the Kyūsen: The Kyūsen came to be from an alliance between to once upon a time rival factions between the Tsugiko yakuza group, and the Kang’s Ssang Yong Pa street gang. During a heated rivalry the Ssang Yong Pa were mostly wiped out save for a few Kang family members. After fifteen years, a tentative alliance was formed using marriage as a means to tie the two rivals together. With the only remaining Kang member with any power being a female, the Tsugiko head of family sent his daughter to form the counterpart in his stead. The union is a delicate one based off the ever tittering balance between the Kang’s and the Tsugiko’s. Having to find new ways to move forward past the families past histories the Black Dragons were formed under Ishie Tsugiko and Sal-In Kang since then. Street Appearance: As far as public view is concerned, the Kangs, and those associated with the Kangs, are the face of the criminal portion. In most instances the direct relation between the Kangs and the Kyusen are interchangeable. They Behind the scenes the Tsugiko (silent partner) fund a large majority of the organization, (mixed with profits from various trades)and handle much of the red tape and legalities. Korean Street gang meets Yakuza Mafia style, for lack of a better term. Ranks: Shatei (Soldiers)[Unproven members of the group] Kyodai (Members) Saito Komon (Advisors) Waka-gashira (Underboss) Oyabun (Leader)
UNIQUE: Seoul Tier(already approved as private business) The Kyūsen are an organized criminal gangs in Japan/China/Korea, engage in stimulant-drug traffic, prostitution, and extortion. Seoul Tier is a hedonistic club that applies all of these prospects naturally. Sex, drugs, gambling and booze being the main stays. This gives players a variety of reasons to join and contribute to the group. As well as plenty of reasons for the Kyusen to interact with the community as well.
FLAW: 1. Icly there is still bad blood between the Kangs and the Tsugiko, they work together but they do not trust each other. While they attempt to keep up appearances of having a united front, they are divided. Icly we plan to use this to drive realistic mafia style role play of an Asian gang within the United States. This allows for plenty of opportunity for outsiders to drive conflict roleplay, as well for those within the gang to seek outside aid and so forth. 2. Icly while the members of the gang have familial ties in the criminal life style, they are new to the reality of the situation coupled with the mental illnesses that run in both the Kang and the Tsugiko families. While outright the characters don't plan to be dumb about the moves they make, there is a large margin of error to be made. This can be exploited by smart parties. 3. Legality: Most of the members of the Kyusen are illegal immigrants who came to America for a variety of purposes. Regardless, another aspect that can be used to spur rp with certain... blue groups... *hint hint*
POTENTIAL ENEMY: Moondrops (We plan to have more, though we wish for the roleplay to begin naturally)
EXPERIENCE:I look to spur the role play for a large majority of players, I wish to allow something interesting and involving that allows players to play a dark role play genre and still allow there characters to play true to their individual styles. As far as experience goes, I'm no stranger the leading groups and the likes. I've been a roleplayer for many years now and don't plan to quit anytime soon. I also have a steady and reliable play schedule that allows me to be open and available to players on a regular and routine basis. I have a clear and direct idea of how I plan to run things as well as an open ear to ideas and changes that can occur.
IDEAS:We have roleplay loving players who are more than happy to reach out to new players and greet them on an ooc level. We also aren't shy about actively kidnapping people icly for all sorts of fun! On a more serious note, with the club being a potential home base for the group it allows an active reason for players ton come and explore, through events and natural rp, to allow for a natural integration. Bartenders, bouncers, drug dealers, singers, bus boys, waitresses, hookers, whores, fundom/mes and ecta... all have possibilities and potential.
