BACKSTORY: Seph came to Hathian on a mission, to liberate people from the Babylon System. A more detailed account on that can be found here: http://thecrackden.com/discuss/topic/rasta-to-the-bone-joseph-seph-valentine/ Coming to Haithan he met many Jamaicans, all struggling indivudually. Because of this he starts recruiting people - especially those of African descend for the Rastafar-I way of Life, to enlighten them about the false Babylon System, reveal their manipulation upon the poor people and the tricks they use to oppress the people and uphold their structure. They would finance themselves, mainly by selling the best weed on the planet, which they would grow themselves in several secret hideouts, renting apartments or backdoor business locations. But if there is shortage of money they would also trade other drugs or involve themselves in other profiting crimes, breaking and entering, robberies, all Robin Hood style. We would also extort businesses that are owned by people we consider racist, overpriviledged or in any other way a considerable enemy to the Rasta-Way of Life (Any Business that is working with the goverment, for example.) The faction would be known by wearing Red, Gold Green and of course by wearing dreadlocks. Characteristic about them would also be that they mostly speak the patois (Jamaican broken english) dialect Iyric, which is the Rasta-language. The Standard-Tags would mark JAHsoulJAH or a similiar wordgame, as Iyric is all about drawing different essences out of words by pronouncing them differently. There wouldn't be a real IC Rank Order, as Rastafarian beliefs stand for equality, so nobody would be able boss around another. There would be several members not encouraging violence, meaning they would not get involved in any fights. The group would be split into different tasks (e.g. Ganjafarmer, Ganja-Dealer, Enforcer etc.) and as the group grows, put certain people who have a lot of experience and are very active in CD in supervising positions to make sure things keep running.

UNIQUE: It is a Rastafarian group first of all. It is religiously motivated and has other goals, other than just accumulating money, which is standing up against the system, and bring people together. Their allignment would be almost to 'good' to be criminal, but their constant conflict with the ruling system makes them outlaws, and their resources concerning ganja could provoke other gangs to fight with them.

EXP:I am quite creative and have a lot of Ideas. I am very used to roleplay, from different online games, where i also helped as a Gamemaster. I think i can fascinate other players with my idea's, also i would always be open for the other's ideas. I am very disciplined when it comes to respecting a Roleplay Setting and the owners aim for it. When participating in a roleplay, i know what the setting expects of me, and on that i base my Ideas, always trying to stay within the gamesetting.

FLAWS:They will be racially prejudiced towards white people. Not to an extend that all members have to hate all white folks, or white folks could not become members, but they would have general distrust towards white people. Also, their constant patois chatter will make it hard for them to be understood or even taken seriously.

WORK WITH OTHERS:Lawyers, Politicians and most public agents will be a target for them. Anyone of Caucasian descend would have to watch his back from them as well. We are going to interact a lot with the Headshop, and any Location that offers Music. If there really is to be a cult, as is suggested on the forums, our group would build a nice counterpart to that. We hope to get some attention from the Hathian Media, such as the Hathian Observer for example, as we are a group trying to get involved in political controversies.

IDEAS:Well, just to name a few Ideas: Rasta Terrorist Acts would be fun, some party with a lot of players, where we set a few pound of weed on fire and get everybody high. As the gang evolves we could set up a proper dancehall. I am an RL Musician and would love to host music events in Second Life to. But I dont really know about the possibilities and requirements for such. However, we would still like to host RP Events for Rasta Music, a RP Live-Concert, where we could simply play a good reggae cd over a stream or something like that. I would like to discuss that further, if this group gets approval. Anyhow, We would set a counterpart on the criminal side, a Anti-Hero-Group so to say, a Robin-Hood-Style Posse. We would bring some new cultural influences into the Urban Roleplay and try to keep them authentic, as my Rasta-RP is based on my RL experience with the subject. OOC i could offer people to brush up their patois accent 😉

OTHER DETAILS: I love the opportunities CD delivers for controversies. Confronting roleplayers with subjects as Crime and Corruption gives plenty room for the RP i am aiming at, which has a lot to do with prejudice, racism, poverty, goverment corruption and police brutality, and the idea of freedom. And i am sure that, from this angle of approach, i can bring some improvement to Hathian, even though it hardly needs any, as the RP around here is awesome!
