Ellie's a farm girl through and through, and though she's been to the city once or twice, she's not familiar with it. So now that she's moved within city limits and set up her enrollment at CU, it's become part of her agenda to learn the ropes, both of the campus and the surrounding areas. Locating a job, a cheap apartment, and being able to feed herself are all immediate goals.

She's a little bit naive and a few pages short of certifiably 'book smart', but she's got the know-how of house keeping, fabulous home cooking, and the good faith in our Lord God to her name - all things she considers downright important. The phrase 'All-American Girl' wouldn't be off the mark. Hospitality is key, a football is NOT black and white, and you can have both a hot dog AND a hamburger if you damn well want. She's friendly and inquisitive and harbors no small amount of sass which can potentially be unleashed without warning.

When things began to go sour financially for her family's farm, Ellie decided to take some of the pressure off them and move into the city to pursue an education. This is funded mostly through state grants based on her family's low income, and loans.
