Elisa had arrived in Hathian a few days ago, earning some money working at the Arcade, sleeping wherever she could and eating things of dubious origin... that wasn't enough. She met some apparently nice people (Maria and Don) who gave her some recommendations, she would try to spend the night at the old motel and stay out of trouble... for now.

She would spend the night listening to the moans from the rooms next door and distracting herself inside her own head with thoughts that sometimes made her punch the wall, sometimes made her laugh until finally she fell asleep.
