Velvet grew up on the wrong side fo the tracks, often in trouble as a teen she's been invoved in gangs and drugs. After her brother was killed on the streets of LA she decided to clean up her act and join the police force. Shortly after graduating from the acadamy she was partnered with a veteren patrol officer. He took her under his wing and was almost like a father to her, he taught her how to be a good cop. She worked her way up to detective, she was respected by most at her precinct, although some despised her for being a woman in what they belived to be a mans role.

Velvet has just spent 8 months undercover in the drug world of LA. During the bust things went wrong, 4 officers ended up in hospital and 1 lost their life. The drugs and money went missing, she took forced leave while she awaited an investigation into the case. She was cleared of charges but still got busted down from detective to patrol, she now awaits transfer approval to the HPD. If she ever showed her face in LA while wearing a uniform she'd more than likely be killed.
