geoffrey welderssaidI have seen DCS used quite commonly during gun fights, as it should be. Unfortunately, I have also seen complete disregard to the death timer associated with the tool. Why even use the DCS if no one's taking death, as a result of a loss seriously? In this dire time of trying to revive serious role-play, with these random senseless gunfights and disregard to the timer, I suggest that all deaths dealt under the DCS be taken seriously. It may persuade people into seriously debating whether it’s worth the risk to lose a character in a gun fight, rather than resort to an alternative method to resolve conflict or shoot up a place with vague reason. This will instill the realistic aspect of risk verses reward in role-play as well as cut down on “superman†actions. Also, this may incite doctors to remain in the hospital and play their role as life savers. As a side note, not all gun fights need to end with someone falling down; I recommend surrendering when HP gets low. If this goes into effect, I recommend that every death dealt under DCS be announced over the public CD channel or forum. |
