First off I've got to say sorry for it being so long. I was trying to figure out how to keep it short, but I'm bad at stuff like that. =p Any feedback is greatly appreciated and I look forward to meeting everyone's characters! 🙂

Character Name: Darin Blackburn

Age: 23

Alias: Red

Backstory: Darin hasn't had the easiest of lives. His parents died at a young age leaving him and his twin sister Sapharina on their own. They were bounced around between family members who didn't want them and foster homes who only wanted them for the cash they received for taking care of them.  Darin graduated from high school at sixteen years old and enrolled himself in online courses at the University of Arizona.

The one thing that Darin's parents had made sure of was that his entire college career would be paid for. This meant Darin did not have to work while he studied and it left him with a lot of free time on his hands. This was not necessarily a good thing.  He began to experiment with drugs and alcohol around seventeen years old. His sister tried to keep him out of that lifestyle, but in the end she just ended up getting sucked into it herself. His college fund did not leave him with enough money to fuel his addiction so he ended up finding other ways to get the drugs he thought he needed.

Darin's life began to spiral out of control shortly after his eighteenth birthday. His sister Sapharina was sick of the constant fear that his antics were going to get her killed one day. He had gone from a petty thief to a full-scale robber. He was starting to act as if he were invincible and was robbing people that could have easily taken them both out if they wanted too. She begged him to stop, but after he refused she did what any scared person might do and faked her death with the help of the few friends she had in their hometown.

Sapharina's "death." made Darin go off the deep end. He dropped out of college and turned into someone that most people would deem psychotic. He blamed himself for his sister's death and was subconsciously trying to get himself killed. After he overdosed on prescription pills he ended up in an Asylum for 2 years. The doctors there were not kind people and did all sorts of twisted experiments on him... trying to change personality traits they felt were erratic and unacceptable. This caused Darin to hate the world around him even more then he already had.

He was released from the Asylum at twenty years old. He was a changed man and it was definitely not in a good way. He reenrolled in college and finished his bachelor's in electrical engineering then began using the skills he had learned to take his revenge on the world around him. He also obtained his CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Administrator) and CEH(Certified Ethical Hacker) certificates before his twenty-third birthday. At this point, the one friend who kept an eye on him at Sapharina's request saw the explosion that was about to happen. He contacted Darin's sister and told her that Darin needed her now more than ever. Sapharina knew that the truth had to come out in order to save Darin so she drove to Dead End and revealed herself to him.

Darin was in shock to see his sister standing in front of him. She begged him to come to Hathian with her and start a new life. She did not tell him that her life there was much like his life in their hometown. Sapharina had become jaded and bitter over the years. She committed more crime than she ever had while living in the same city as him. Darin agreed and they both took the next bus to Hathian.
