Cyrus comes to Hathian alone and with only what he is carrying.
He did used to have a good job in the family Transport company, heading up a division which on the face of it transported goods around Europe by road and sea, but in reality involved people trafficking and moving illegal immigrants.

Third generation Italian living in the East End of London he has grown up with crime and money making since he were knee high to a grasshopper.
At 13 his Uncles emplyed him as a messenger, where he could cycle below the radar and pick up information from the docks and surrounding estates. He quickly learnt this earnt him far more money than the paper rounds his friends had.
At 16 he was helping at a hands on level with big assignments to move illegal cargo, which bulked him up and made him strong, and he was tested with different jobs to see where his strengths lay. His Father told him he had to work his way up from the bottom, so he could see and learn every aspect of the trade, with a view to one day leaving the business to Cyrus when he retired.
The family quickly reaslised he had a driving greed for making money, and was loyal to his own, and put him in charge of the drugs side of the busiess at 18, helping to ship at best cocaine and at worse Ecstacy and GHB supplies for the club scene in London. He learnt from his mistakes and took a beating when he deserved it, but generally he worked his way up fast, with respect for his older partners, and having a natural ability to sniff out new money making schemes and building links.

At 21, he travelled with a business partner to Moscow to put the feelers out for drug links there, and came across a Human Trafficking ring. This opened his eyes, as he could see the potential to make big money, which allayed any fears he had over the morality of the crime. On returning home he told his father about the scheme and they bought into it, agreeing to work with the Eastern European contemparies to secure women for London, delivered straight to the docks he always used.

Maybe he got too cocky, too greedy but there was a leak somewhere in his chain of command. He suspected the rival firm, who saw his rise to success and wanted him gone. But one of his Uncle's informants fed back there would soon be a bust, and the Human trafficking side of the business had to be erased and fast.
The lorry fleet would be seized and the auhorities were close to closing in on his water trades.

To avoid prison and exposing the family business to bad reputation he fled to America, cleaning up the loose ends and destroying any evidence of this branch of the business. He used his own transport links and a fake passport and chose a random decaying city, Hathian, for a place to lay low. A few of his friends had heard it was a good place for someone to disappear for a while, so he arrived, pissed off and frustrated at having to leave, but free to start a new life, for at least a year. This would give things time to die down back home.

He sees this part of his life as a test, a set back, and his natural greed and drive means he is looking to once again build up his empire, even if it is without the backing of his close knit family. Naturally he is drawn to the docks and Fishtown, wondering what business he can get into to keep up that high quality of life he left back home in London.

Not one for being tied down, he is always on the move and therefore doesnt want any kind of committment. He can settle in almost anywhere fast, but is gone just as soon as he arrives. He generally sees women as objects, which is why he could do the job he had, rarely having had a loving realtionship in his life. His own mother was weak, living in the shadow of his father, and he grew up seeing women had to be controlled. Getting into a relationship would only set him back, tie him down and he tries to avoid this at all costs, sometimes giving off more of a cold facade than he intends deep inside. The one thing he misses in Hathian is his family, and therefore isnt used to being totally alone. Being a natural charmer and able to use women for his own needs, he would make casual aquaintances, if only to stave off the lonely nights.

His world revolves around making money, easily, his hunger is big.

I've been here a few weeks but looking to make some contacts, especially around getting into Fishtown and would like to set up a transportation business if poss? Want to be a link to my old life back home? or a business contact? Anyone any ideas or want to rp with me hit me up 😉
