Fellow Brits will be very familiar with this story which is frontpage in the UK at the moment.

Basically two brothers, one 10 one 11 came from a dysfunctional setting (alcoholic unemployed abusive father, pothead mother who used to put cannabis in their drinks to get them to sleep, older teenaged brothers already in prison and acting as very criminal mentors, crumbling social decay of the place they lived in, fail social services and police who between them botched an opportunity to nab the young monsters before they could commit their final crime, school expulsion) and ended up terrorising an entire neighborhood of adults and especially other kids.

They severely beat a boy for over an hour and were identified; the police were hunting for them and they were already in care of Social Services in foster homes when they lured two other boys to an isolated location and subjected them to 2 hours savage and depraved beating and sexual assaults...leaving one kid in a coma and blinded for a while (not to mention traumatised mentally) and another one bloody and half-dead (he was the one that raised the alarm) - and my description really doesn't do the true horror of this story 'justice' (though that's a crass way to put it).

Even as a player in CD and someone who's read about depravity in RL many many times before, I'm shocked, they make our kids in Hathian look tame (and if this were CD undoubtedly they would be banned for going OTT even for our sim - so don't get any ideas from this kids even you don't consider it very bad taste, which it would be).

Very sad story, and deeply depressing...the only good thing is that no-one died (well the two boys did slaughter a whole family of ducklings by throwing them against trees but...people) and that they have been caught.
