It is something long on my mind but I did not want to hijack Lauri´s proposal and so open an own line to discuss.

My question, are we not getting too nice with each other?
Everywhere I hear around it is something like, yeah let us be friends, let us cooperate, let us share staff and so on. but why??? Why would any entrepeneur in a poor city do that?

Right now CD appears to me like all are buddies with each other, the major active gang (Kogas) is friends with almost everyone and has some Robin Hood image in the city, while the cops in that analogy ressemble the Sheriff of Nottingham. There is no strife really, no competition, no rivalry?

I might be wrong, but it could be a reason RP in CD is getting stale for some people who then seek RP elsewhere. I mean where is the danger???
With few exception a woman can walk naked through most alleys and will never even get asked for a dollar and if there is a rapist most people will side with the victim and scare the poor guy away.

Why is there no competeition and rivalry? Why would for example the boss of sex place 1 allow her girls to do shifts at sex place 2? It would mean losing money to boss 1.

Back in DE I remember Uncle Bob and his Circus Maximus faction. He did IC not allow anyone to deal drugs on his turf and tried to enforce that by IC means. That created stories.

I took that as example when Lyss ran the Black Mamba faction in DE and AP, we tried to control sex business and any hooker trying to sell her goods without paying a cut got into trouble with the gang. Some of course OOC wanted trouble and got their fun IC.

Same the Hellcats and Adherents, all ran territorial and did not allow competition on their turf and did not think if being buddies with everyone. That offered IC struggle and excitement, it offered stories and more action. I do not mean to tell anyone how to play their characters, just wanting to bring this up as I think some strife between businesses and people and gangs (beside the trouble if the HPD rolls in) would benefit the SIM.
