IzzaBella Jinx, "Izzi" or "Jinx," 23, and her sister Cat, 22, are newcomers to Hathian.

Jinx is shy, introverted, and quiet. Often naive, she is the kind of person who tends to give people the benefit of the doubt, which often gets her into trouble or makes her a target for people who like to take advantage of her kind nature. She looks to her younger sister a lot to keep her on track.

Cat is a sweet girl who can be a bit shy but when challenged, she tends to become a bit more assertive. Though youngest of the siblings, she is the most protective - especially of her older sister Jinx. She is very close to her sister Jinx and her brother Kenji, as they are the only family she has left.

When the girls were 12 (Cat) and 13 (Jinx), their father lost his job. Things became extremely tough in the home, money was tight, and Dad was using what little money was coming in to buy booze. After spending an entire night out drinking, he came home the next morning while the girls were at school, got into a fight with their mother and beat her to death. Distraught by what he'd done, he retrieved his handgun from the bedside table and shot himself in the head. Kenji, five years older than Jinx, became legal guardian of the girls and raised them.

A year ago, Kenji started going out a lot at night, would disappear for a couple days at a time, seemed to become increasingly distant to the girls, and then one day never came back. They tried to find him and their trail has led them to Hathian.
