GROUP NAME: Veiled Visions

TYPE: Official Business

BACKGROUND: I always had a voodoo aspect to my character, and with this business i want to expand on that. My approach to the supernatural things like vodoo are mind suggestions, psychic drugs, make believe and hypnosis, maybe for some characters incoorporating their mental illnesses aswell. There will be no superpowers involved, but rather the attempt to convince interacting characters that magic and the loa are real, manipulating them with fear and illusions, sometimes supported by drugs.

UNIQUE: With the above mentioned approach to vodoo. I want costumers to request mystical aid from the shop, which can be anything from a love spell (rape drugs) to money spells (basically a loanshark scheme with the loa) or cures from addictions (usually a mind suggestion scheme where we spike a persons food, on a regular basis so their favourite vice becomes toxic to them. Just to name a few example ideas. I would use the help of criminal connections in the underworld to enforce the beliefs and to make sure that whatever is promised by the loa will happen, often with a karmic evil twist to it. People who spread doubts about whether the magic is real should have bad things happen to them as if they were cursed for example.

EXPERIENCE: I did lead a faction and wrote a lot of rp events in the past. From that time i know how to hold rapport with staff and how to be inclusive and open minded.

IDEAS: Brainstorm with them on rituals, keeping a notecard libary dedicated to the good ones, so others can recreate these ideas in their own fashion. I think any sort of spell brings a lot of RP opportunity as there are always things to do for it, maybe wear certain garments or oils for a while, having to get some ones hair, or fingernail, or menstrual blood as an ingredient. There are plenty of ways to keep new players engaged and introduce them to the mystical i wanna do.

OTHER: I would do a public and a more behind the scene ritual event. The public can be a classic little dance party, with food and some light palm reading stand and maybe selling some spell ingredients along the way, introducing the character and what is on offer. For those more interested we would do a ritual calling on Baron Samedi or Papa Legba, maybe even Shango or other more foreign deities with the same roots.
