Backwaters Prison

BACKGROUND: As the Laveau Correctional Facility has sat vacant for some time, it seems clear to me that the Local and State Authorities need a place to house the more "Violent" and "Habitual" offenders in the world of Crack Den. Regular events would include both Correctional Officers and Incarcerated Individuals such as Riots, Prison Break Attempts, and Hostage Situations as these are things that happen in prisons elsewhere. Players would be encouraged to follow a prison "schedule" but aren't forced to maintain it as freedom of play is highly encouraged. The schedules would of course be "Counts, Yard Time, Times to Eat, and Times to Sleep." Correctional Officers would be encouraged to help those incarcerated to follow prison rules and follow the schedule. Of course this also allows for corruption to happen within the prison walls where deals can be made for contraband to be shipped in and out of the prison. Correctional Officers can of course manipulate prisoners and vice-versa.

 

UNIQUE: This business will provide a place for both Officers and Players to play out Prison-based Roleplay without the need to clutter up the HPD Building on the Main SIM and drive up play in Laveau. Unlike standard Jail Time, Prison play is encouraged to be lengthy but fair. We're not going to hold a player for MONTHS at a time, unless they request it. I would like to encourage an environment that promotes fair-play whilst immitating a long term prison sentence.

 

EXPERIENCE: I have personally played on the Crack Den SIMs for well over a decade at this point and have personally run other roleplay SIMs in the past. So I have experience running groups of people in both roleplay scenes and groups in general. I am easy going and willing to learn/listen to others in order to provide a service that is both fun and fair.

 

IDEAS: All new players will need to see "The Warden" for intake in order to explain the "rules" of the Prison. New Correctional Officers would need to seek out "The Warden" in order to report for duty and be given a tour of the facility.

 

OTHER: My ideal grand re-opening would be to have HPD escort a group of willing participants to the Prison and we would begin to separate them into their respective cells and bring them up to speed of the "rules" of the prison.
