<p class="MsoNormal">Butterfly is shy and compliant in most instances. She is very kind and loving and was working her way through massage school when a stranger in a bar bought her a drink. She woke up in a filthy basement chained to a pole lying on a dirty stained mattress. People came to her, sometimes simply to beat her, sometimes for other things. It took her months to escape. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>During her captivity she realized that the only thing that could not be taken from her is love. She made the conscious choice to love her abusers, and to comfort them even if that took feeling pain on their behalf. When she finally escaped she found herself in a city she had never seen, with little money and few skills other than dancing and massage she gravitated toward the Red Light section of town where she found work as a dancer.
