[b]GROUP NAME:[/b] The Observer

BACKSTORY: To explain my absence, IC Val has been in jail. She has already leanred of the lack of management and talked about it to a handful of people. She wants to do something good for a change instead of being a constant leech on society. There may or may not be some snooping for the Rejects involved as well 😉 People who know my character know how nosey she is! OOC, my plan is to get the paper current and active again. Articles will never be in limbo, and if something can be posted, something will be. I want it to be a place where people turn to, to get the scoop on things they're characters aren't privy to. I also plan to do a lot of footwork.

UNIQUE: It's the only paper in town! It gets information to the masses both IC and OOC, and provides it when they aren't available to enjoy RP; they can still feel like they're part of the sim and know what's going on.

EXP:I have RPed in CD, and CD alone, for over three years. I took a substantial break a few months ago (4 or 5) and have regularly tried to come back, but found no inspiration. When I learned that the Observer was lacking a manager (and with some advise from a friend), I decided to come back with a new look on things. While RPing in CD, I managed Gein Burger for roughly 9 months to a year (little blurry there). I know how to work the roster systems very well. I was also on the sim's security team. I'm also extremely knowledgeable with Wordpress. I have written for the Observer under an NPC reporter since 2010, and have operated a personal Wordpress based blog for a little over a year. I also work for Isla Gealach of Cheeky Pea as her personal assistant and overall store and sim manager. I am the personal assistant to Cracked Mirror of Cracked Mirror and FaMESHed. I'm incredibly organized and punctual.

IDEAS:The paper is one of the best ways for people to learn about what's going on in the city. It gets events out there so people can IC and OOC learn about them; often times people know about things OOC but have no way of figuring them out IC and the paper is a huge tool to do this. Also, because RP doesn't always have to be serious, I want to start doing my goofy personals again. Hopefully this will inspire people to submit funny articles as well! I also want to start doing weekly weather reports again, because that's something I enjoyed under previous management. I'm not sure if the weather system is still up, but I think it would be a neat idea to give false reports; i.e sunny when it actually rains. If it was removed and won't be coming back due to lag, I'd still like to do temperatures like heat waves and odd cold snaps because those can be implemented without lag. Weather is simply something different to RP; it adds an often ignored layer to RP and changes the atmosphere of a scene. Any ideas are also welcome; there's not many events or ideas that a newspaper can bring to the table other than to print news, so I'm at a blank other than what I've suggested.

OTHER:I know I've been gone for a while, but before that, I was at CD on a daily basis for almost 3 years. I don't plan on leaving again anytime soon. I will always be around OOC because managing and organizing things is something I enjoy, even if I may not be around IC for some reason.
