BACKGROUND: The Daily Grind has been a staple in the Hathian Community for as far as nearly anyone can remember. As godly as the need for caffeine is, we'll refrain from saying 'since the beginning, there was coffee, and it was good' However, it's been a hub of activity, from the pleasant, to the horrid, to the fun and to the cringe worthy. Seeing as it's an active hive, regular and attending management is an utmost importance when concerning RP at this particular location. My goal is to not only maintain the activity and the 'center of all things caffeinated' but to add to this. Events, conspiring with other businesses, both good and nefarious, as well as promote activities that would be enjoyable, fun and in multiple time zones. One idea I've entertained for some time is the idea of coffee delivery. Nothing formal, but it would give the opportunity for employees to branch out and 'deliver' that sweet sweet nectar to other locations and open up cross RP between The Grind, as well as others, possibly newer RP'rs to the sim to help them slide into some enjoyable times as well. Events of course, working with other businesses to host events, and perhaps even working on cross branding. An idea would be for, say, the Grind, or Val's Or Lou's or even TT's or Slims, (managers there willing of course) To offer "The Daily Grind" branded coffees in their establishments. Just the branding can gather future RP alone, but everyone knows that it takes activity, branching out, and changing the brew to decaff for a week before hopping to espresso to get everyone's heart racing.

UNIQUE: There is plenty of opportunity here as well, to stand out, but not out stand other businesses. Collaboration is an important key, but it goes without saying that anything can happen. Many ideas are to remain active and upbeat about the possibilities that can happen during RP. The Grind could, potentially, pay for it's police protection with free coffee and delivery, the same to FDH as well. Employees could be bribed to 'dose' the coffee that day with drugs from one of the gangs to really get that addiction moving. Grind Girls Calendar? Another possibility to revive there too.

EXPERIENCE:One of the downside of applying for this position as Nia Andel, is that she is a fairly new character that's been played just under a year. Not alot of people know her, though she's young, and just became a fresh, and naive mother. She'll be leaving her bar tending job for something more respectable... Right across the street at The Daily Grind. There are ties to the community, with both her parents, and I personally have played in CD since 2011 or so. I've held various positions here and there in CD over the years. RL wise, I hold massive management experience, and one of the most important qualities of anything. Patience. Patience is key! (Moreso when dealing with drunk people and children. ) I have not managed a business in CD, though I have, on alts, held management like positions in key organizations in CD before. I feel I'm up to the task, and it will be a great opportunity, not only for myself, but for others to get into some fabulous storylines and epic roleplay.

IDEAS:Tying in with the ideas above, Coffee delivery would be a main facet that could be approached, but there are others as well. Encouragement to get out there and RP with anyone and everyone is a step, but the idea of having all employees, including management, branch out and offer free samples, a coffee on wheels system, chocolate covered coffee beans, possibly injected with illegal substance, and letting new players, and old alike, know that The Grind is there.. It's not going anywhere, and that there are active bodies ready to look down their noses as you order a Mocha Half Caff Grande or whatever it is.

OTHER:Ahh yes, the big shindig! As much as I'd love to have an employee wear a coffee bean costume, which would look like a turd, or a coffee mug costume, which would look like Shake from ATHF, The idea of a sidewalk BBQ, with assistance from the Gein, or Slims (Managers willing of course) to pull people closer. Advertisement to the local bars that "Coffee will sober you up!" and it's fine print, and with Nia having a tie or two to the municipalities, There's a possibility of a cross event. Grand opening of The Daily Grind! Sponsored by Hathian General Hospital! Come get your java and a free blood pressure check! Scones and Diabetes check! Even offer some 'street dance' opportunity, because we all know that would end up being a disastrous riot of hilarity and awkward. Brun Dug Studios, WKRK, HTV, Alot of possibilities for music and dancing as a grand opening, which such gatherings seem to be enjoyed.
