BACKSTORY: "I knew from the moment I signed that contract, Blackriver Security was destined to fail. Clean walls. Clean floors. Clean people. Ink well pens. Matching polo shirts... Yeah right." -- Julius Highfield Sierra Security Group (SSG) will be a startup security and private investigation firm created and run by Julius Highfield. In the quaint warehouse-type building in Devil's Pocket sits a safehouse and offices which comprises the main facilities for the business. Types of services offered could be: Wiretappingmonitoring (with consent), Classic surveillance, plainclothes investigation, uniformed event security, witness protection (72h max), camera installation and monitoring. SSG will interact directly with the HPD periodically to investigate 'dead ends' or 'cold cases'. Will establish and maintain loose rapport with higher ranking officials. SSG will have its own legal NPC, but nothing but emergency medical care on site. All healthcare will be paid for by a cheap HMO channeled through the medical center.

UNIQUE: At the time of its creation, Sierra will be the only official privately operated security group in Hathian, staffed by members who will fill a specific skillset, such as hackers, accountants, investigators, weapons experts, close combat specialists, lawyers, and medical staff. Other administrative type jobs will be available for non-field agents. Our agenda is to toe the line between right and wrong. While not actively participating in criminal activities, SSG may act as a third party or wildcard in the perpetual game of cops and robbers that Hathian participates in. They will work for anyone who enters the contractual agreement, and so far as it doesn't put them directly in the sights of law enforcement officers, they will uphold it.

EXP:~2yr positive track record in Hathian in successful roleplays. Continuous rapport with representatives from most factions. ~6mo. experience working for pj.ronin as a board member (moderator level) position in Blackriver Security. Experience filing and filling out reports, and engaging in potentially hazardous roleplay situations. Following up with investigations after a violent crime happens to find clues about what happened. Contacts in the Hathian Observer, for connecting news with roleplay possibilities.

IDEAS:So far, the lines have been pretty clear. Either you're on the side of the cops, or the side of the criminals. There is some blurring there, between bent cops and saintly criminals, but overall, the balance of authority in Hathian pivots between those two factions. Sierra will attempt to protect those who seem to be innocent bystanders caught in the middle. Perhaps they will be, perhaps they wont. But either way, this small group of security guards will introduce a third element to the mix, playing largely, the role of people trying to do the right thing in Hathian, all the while being largely overpowered by corruption on all other fronts. Many strong character pieces could emerge from the strain of having to toe the line of good and evil.

OTHER:Sierra will bring serious roleplayers together, and through Skype, I intend to stay in constant contact with my members. Inquiring about recent leads and possible opportunities for business to contract out their security through us. The tragedy of this being, that Hathian will not become a safe haven for anyone for too long. So the prospect of true security is null and void. People who RP as my employees will be flawed--Julius himself is. Because of this, they'll carry that sort of (hopefully not just informed) underdog aspect to them. Always sort of outgunned and outequipped by the more serious criminal factions, and the heart of the characters will show through, more than the size of their gun. Past criminals will have a shot at getting on the true right side of the law again. Perhaps moreso than a cop, since we don't involve ourselves in criminal activity. Some events will require security. Sierra will be there to escort out the odd patron who's had one too many. Sierra may provide additional blending protection at official functions if contracted by an official Hathian city agency to do so.
