The position of lead for Raders got more interest than I expected. Thank you to all who sent in their applications! Had to make a choice so we will have two proposals up for community review. Both have quite different ideas to them so, please, feel free to post your comments and questions. I will leave the two threads open for a week before making a decision.

Rader Records

BACKGROUND: Rader has such a storied history, one largely involving a gang. I'd probably take it more into neutral territory, as Peri is very neutral herself, focusing on everyday rp as well as a few events the spot has already been apart of: raves with WKRK, perhaps partnering with Hathian TV for shows, album release parties for some of the musician characters in town, as well as sales and other festivities like random DJ'd dance parties out in the lot. It's a huge area, that lot; I'd love to find reasons to use it! (suggestions welcome!) It previously did have a drug business funneling out of it, and should that type of relationship come to Peri, I'd likely embrace it. She was previously trafficking in drugs for Rory McAuley hidden within vibrators, after all. And considering how much people buy music online, this might be something she has to turn to for cashflow. One thing I've also considered, and would need help with, is some sort of alternative publication focusing on nightlife/music/lifestyle, thrusting Rader into the social scene. We had something like this before with Hzine, which I really enjoyed!

UNIQUE: Rader Records stands out certainly by being the only record store in town, but also the nice standalone location. I'd love it to be one of those places where people just.. hang out, shop, goof off, maybe sling product.

EXPERIENCE: I have quite a varied and fun past! I've previously been on staff as a GM, but more in line with businesses, I've had the pleasure of running three: Peri started off as manager of Comiquities, moved into the Editor position of the Observer, and after a break, returned to take over the XXX porn shop. Through all of these, I've learned patience and openness are key, as well as being willing to rp with anyone. I'm all about what is RP-positive; whats going to create lasting storylines and opportunities for roleplay. (If I were to become boss of Rader, I would then be giving up Hathian XXX for someone else to have a shot! It's a great spot, very chill; I'm just feeling the winds of change for my IC story, so I'm going for it with this.)

IDEAS: Retail store RP is a pretty easy way to meet new players, actually. There's a direct purpose they can use to come rp with you at the shop (buying music!), which helps the common issue of "where do I start?" I've been open to interviews in the past, though I found having a handbook/guide for rp at the porn shop to be immensely helpful at giving new employees an idea on whats going on with the shop. It also helps to engage folks on twitter, using a business account.

OTHER: Rader Lot BBQ of course! I would partner with a few businesses, like Gein and Jimmys, as well as Lou's and Grind, WRKR, and have a grand ol' time.
