PROPOSAL BY: Judereagan resident

GROUP NAME: Rader Records

TYPE: Music Store

SLURL: Teleport

BACKSTORY: Jude has been working at Rader for a couple months now, as one of her many jobs. She had ulterior motives for working at the music store besides her minimum wage check, namely the connections and history the store has with the Reject gang. My plans are slightly different in that my character’s storyline would be very intertwined with my objective for running Rader. I want to bring long term storylines to the shop that incorporate both gang rp as well as every day, city life rp which I think my character Jude could easily do. She’s connected to both worlds and my hope would be to encourage a bit more of the ‘city life’ rp at Rader than what was typically seen before as well as still encouraging strong crime and gang rp by possibly complicating things for the Rejects at Rader. I have run a business in CD before, the XXX Store on my alt Caris and I plan on running Rader much like I did the porn shop. I’m not a big believer in huge events, instead I believe in providing a steady RP presence and encouraging long term stories, which is perfectly possible even through a store. That being said, I will still do the occasional event and sale at Rader, though I plan on keeping them small and simple so rp can prosper. I want to keep the seedy feel to the store, along with the darker storylines since it fits with that side of Hathian, but I also would encourage the everyday music junky who’s simply there to buy an old vinyl record.

UNIQUE: Like I said above, I'm not big on large events because I want to encourage rp which can be difficult with over sized events. Instead I want to keep the underbelly feel of Rader, the type of music store that's on the same street with vintage clothing stores and dinky little thrift shops. In other words, the slightly outdated music store with a lot of character. I had a music store just like this when I was growing up. Because of its history and the area of town its in, I think it's safe to say that it would also be considered the 'bad part of town' and therefore at risk for small petty crimes all the way up to gang level crimes. I have no intention of changing that, after all that is a big part of what rp in Cd is about, but (depending on how rp) there's a chance that the Rejects will struggle with keeping their foothold on Rader since it won't be run by a gang member and by someone who has a questionable history with the gang and possible underhanded intents for running Rader in the first place. This, I hope, will encourage the crime/gang rp storylines as well as allow for more everyday rp since it won't be under the control of a gang any longer.

EXP:I have worked as a business manager (porn shop)and have also been security in CD in the past. I very much enjoyed my time running the XXX shop and would not have given it up, but my character, Caris, had reached the end of her story. I have been looking for an opportunity to step back into a lead position again and I think Rader would fit with my character's story.

IDEAS:Like I said above, I'm not big on huge events, mostly because my focus is to encourage rp and long term story lines connected to the store. However, I think the block parties would be a perfect opportunity for Rader to get involved, blast music and get the party going, while encouraging and incorporating that everyday rp I hope to grow. I'm also looking forward to hiring some new people at Rader. I think its a great starting point for those new in CD, especially for those that want the seedier type of rp and don't know where to start. Depending on how rp goes, I would like Rader to continue to do some small events and maintain a connection with the Radio station as well as host the occasional rave, again with the help of the radio station. I enjoy growing relationships and connections with other businesses because it helps with those cross over rps and really does make the events I do want to keep going even more beneficial. I can see Jude trying to make contact with some of Hathian's other reputable businesses such as the bakery and Lou's or TTs.

OTHER:The only other thing I just want to reiterate is that my focus is on encouraging rp on every level, be that large gang fights out in the parking lot to selling a cd to a pothead. I want to keep Rader's roots while shaking the tree a bit and making things difficult because IC drama makes for great rp in my opinion. If anyone has suggestions on how I can encourage more rp at Rader, I am always open for suggestions.
