GROUP NAME: Rader Records

BACKSTORY: Rader has been a staple in Hathian since....the invention of records most likely. Its survived numerous fires/floods, hurricanes...but hasn't been able to be rebuilt because its current owner used the insurance money for bail. The owning of Rader was a pivotal moment in PIper's life, she'd never finished high school and didn't really have many prospects. It forced her to learn some responsibilty, as well as providing a sort of refuge from the outside world. Its dusty carpet, poster-covered walls, and the outdated stacks of moldy records are a constant in a world of chaos. Of course, it was also a front for selling drugs, which worked out quite nicely in terms of constant customers, and deliveries.

UNIQUE: Now that the drug business is well established, there is no need to use Rader as a front. Enough corrupt officials have been bribed to look the other way, and operations continue on a separate level, which frees up Rader to become its own entity. A more mature Piper now envisions Rader as a safer place where musicians and music enthusiasts can gather and converse, listen and discuss. A comfy listening spot with a few chairs would round out this vision. Rather than having to shoo people away from the massive quantities of drugs hidden in the back, she can safely open doors and invite people in to spend money.

IDEAS: Musicians as a whole tend to be quirky, rustling around the edges of society. Hopefully as a business Rader will appeal to those RPers who aren't quite ready to jump into the chaos of violence and insanity. As with all groups in CD, I encourage all members of all groups to RP outside of your comfort zone every now and then, and as always, give even the newest of newbs a chance. We all have to start somewhere.
