BACKSTORY: Owned and managed by the shadowy entity that is Hathian's City Hall, Hathian Construction Company has recently acquired an exclusive contract with the city. Such a contract gives all the lucrative jobs pertaining to the city's mismanaged roads and sidewalks to this single aforementioned company. The City also has promised various other lucrative construction contracts to the company. How such a near monopoly on city construction came about is uncertain, but one thing is sure: the bigwigs that run the city are profiting while the little man flounders in poverty. Hathian Construction Co serves as a pillar of the city's greed and corruption. City funds are pumped into construction projects that never seem to end. Where that money goes is uncertain, but someone is profiting. Expensive building supplies often vanish from construction sites. Someone undoubtedly gains from selling this stolen material. Many listed employees who receive full union salaries either do not show up for work or do not exist at all. However, someone always picks up their paychecks. Often, businesses in not good standing with the city may get unwanted, unnecessary, and very loud construction jobs done outside their place of work. Other favored businesses always get construction done on time and for rather small sum. Greed and favoritism run the company. Even the company's appointed figure head is a symbol of their corruption. They have hired the unsavory ex-convict and former gang member, Paulie Carmine Gambino as the foreman and supervisor of the company's day to day operations. The man is said to have been chosen, because City Hall believed he was not afraid to get his hands dirty. If it unclear if that assumption is true. But, he is just a pawn in a bigger game, a nobody in the grand scheme of things. What is clear is that City Hall has given Paulie a great deal of autonomy from them to run the day to day operations of the company. They do not micromanage. As long as the bigwigs get paid, Paulie and his fellow workers can do what they want. However, employed and owned by the city, they must answer and cooperate with Hathian Civil Services. ((OOC: I hope Hathian Construction Company will bring a new fresh blue collar element to the city. Right now, I believe the only somewhat legit blue collar jobs are HPD and FDH. I mean to make working for the construction company another one of those options. Like both of those aforementioned existing organizations (namely HPD), corruption is optional. Much of it would be hidden from the public's eye anyways. However, if you do wish to roleplay it, it would be a viable option that I would love to explore through roleplay. I hope to cooperate and coordinate plots with the various roleplay leaders of the sim. I have already spoken to Denise Domela, lead of Hathian Civil Services, about such cooperation. If accepted, my group would fall under her domain and we can expect to be seen working with them quite a bit. I hope to start plots with other groups as well. Even if that plot is as trivial as the noisy construction outside or the catcalling construction workers, I hope the group's play effects others in some way.))

UNIQUE: Big, buff, sweaty construction workers. In all seriousness, I do believe we are the only construction company on sim. I already talked about the new fresh blue collar element I believe it brings, but I also I bring it brings in a new form of corruption little explored in Crack Den roleplay. I explained a lot of it above. I also hope with the help and (approval of) the owners and admins to maybe incorporate more of city hall into my business's storyline, but it should be noted: we are the low men on the totem pole even Paulie. My business will stick out, because of my lack of control over it as its owned by City Hall. Whereas some other people own businesses on sim, Paulie is a middle manager who knows nothing of his company's true agenda. The business would be a puppet of something bigger while still retaining a great deal of autonomy for day to day operations. I hope to spawn storylines from this corruption and would totally be open to cooperating with admins, sim leaders, and others to create these said storylines. However, that is just a dream. Right now, we will just stick out because of we will consist buff guys tearing up your sidewalks and catcalling at your women.

EXP:I play an asshole in CD, but I think of myself as far from it in RL. I am ready and willing to cooperate with others ooc as well as ic. I am a listener. I will not just shrug you off no matter if you rez date was in 2004 or a day ago. I am ready and willing to help. I shall try to lead by example in perpetuating a drama-free and fun roleplay environment. And my experience? I am currently the assistant manager of the Clam, and I have been the leader of two approved gangs in CD (Reavers and Wolves). I have been in the Den on and off for I think over four years now.

IDEAS: Events wise: I hope to make every construction project an ongoing event. Once my group is populated with people, I hope to have people on the streets/construction sites interacting with other players as they cause a cacophony of noises. Other than just being a general nuisance IC, I hope we help OOC. I hope by placing construction workers in sometimes unpopulated areas of the sim, we may get them populated. We would be open to engaging with any old or new players wherever we are tearing up old sidewalks. Also, whenever something new is being built or being torn down, we can be there. I think it would be cool to make a big deal if something is being demolished on sim. We could make a big event where we roll in the wrecking ball and bulldozers. Many things could be going on at once. Protesters, spectators, maybe a crack whore stuck in the building while its getting torn down, there are many possibilities. Any other ideas for events please tell me. I will be most happy to oblige if we are approved. OOC, I want to contribute to the story of the sim. I roleplay in Hathian not for the sex, not for the violence, not for the drugs (though they are quite fun to play do not get me wrong 😉 ), I play here for the story. If approved, I hope that my group contributes to the story of the sim. Many of my ideas for story are above. None of them are written in stone. I want to hear your thoughts and see how we can expand them. I have said it before, but I think our relation to the npc'ed City Hall would be a very fun story to play out and I think it adds a huge new element to the sim. Again, please feedback. I want to know what other elements you think we could add.

OTHER:I would like to emphasis here that we do not need a set location. However, I think its best if we do not start out with one. By not having a set location, I hope to venture out in the sim and populate those unpopulated and sometimes populated corners with construction. I want us to interact with the population rather than just sticking to home base. I hope not to have a contruction in one place for any longer than a week. We will constantly be moving, constantly harassing new people with our noises icly and expanding our roleplay horizons. I believe starting with a homebase or set building may discourage that. I want to become an active part of the sim with this group. I want to get out there!
