BACKGROUND: My character, Mai, is rather interested in civic duty and helping those denizens of Hathian work through their legal problems and seeing as how folks in Hathian can't help but get swallowed by the legal system -- it works well. By both helping them with bail, getting out of trials and then even working with social services for their families -- Mai's team can slowly develop from a one person organization to a larger one. My interest is in putting together a group that can investigate for clients on a detective level as well as help with actual legal counsel. I would like to set up scenarios in which other players could watch and engage as mysteries are played out infront of them. I recently joined the Newspaper and Mai could work with them to both plant clues that they're looking into and engage the other players with sim-wide hunts that the Devareaux team would then accept and they could seek out these carefully crafted scenarios together. Just by merely stumbling upon the clues that are left in the newspaper, around the sim and such. One idea I had is for Mai to be seeking out The Aquarius Killer -- someone who, a client of her's states, is actually responsible for a murder that he was accused of. The client told her of clues left all over Hathian and Mai is working on comprising them and actually reaches through the Newspaper and other citizens to help find clues.

UNIQUE: I think this business would be an interesting roleplay opportunity because there are so many people reading and watching things like Criminal Minds and CSI, so how interesting would it be for them to join and engage in these stories rather than just watch them?

EXPERIENCE:I've been a writer, professionally, for ten years. I currently have a game in alpha stage development that is now being worked on by a visual team and when I'm not working, I come here to CD to keep my creative juices flowing. I'm well-organized, well-spoken and have far more reason and logic at play than most hot-blooded types may.

IDEAS:By integrating writing pieces for the Hathian Observer and actually connecting with other managers and business owners, I intend on spreading the word and getting people interested in what kind of things are happening underneath the fog of typical Hathian activity.

OTHER:I would announce it in the Newspaper and then break into my first investigation, with Mai asking for a search party to help her comb through the rubble across the street from her office. A location that she purposely chose for being in the middle of everything she has, clue-wise. I would then set up an actual date and time for people to come do the search. Much like a DM would for one of those games of Dungeons & Dragons, I would let people know just what they would find and then we would recognize the next location that the clues would lead to.
