GROUP NAME: The Voyeur

TYPE: CD Movie Theater

SLURL: Teleport

BACKSTORY: The Movie Theater has long been neglected as a CD Official Group. It stagnates in the corner doing little. In the recent weeks, I've been working there as a clerk and started to try reviving some RP in this area. I think the building and the property lend to some good RP opportunities, with the benches out front, and the ample seating inside. I'd like to try and work out a movie schedule. I know there's a little device to actually allow us to stream movies, so I'd like to feature one a month. I'm not sure the logistics of it, but if at all possible, I'd like to be able to periodically modify the movie posters outside and the marquee announcing the feature film. I think that there is no better person to run a movie theater than a girl from Las Vegas, used to the flash and glitter that goes along with film and all the trimmings that go with it. Mirabel's father pulled the funding for HELP with the admonition that if she wanted to do the city some good, she should help restore it, not give it hand outs. In light of that suggestion, she's gotten her father's approval for a revival of the old movie house. He hopes that she will learn some business etiquette for future endeavors with Las Vegas Sands, but Mirabel's real intent is just to help the decrepit city that seems to need so much.

UNIQUE: The Movie Theater provides Hathianites a source of entertainment for a 'date night' idea. There aren't a lot of places to take someone on a 'date' in CD right now and the option of "Hey, wanna catch a movie with me? _____ Is playing right now..." Would be a great opener.

EXP:I'm extremely organized, very active, and have held leadership positions before in various sims. Even having previously run HELP until I simply ran out of money to be able to afford the upkeep of the property.

IDEAS:Well, the big 'events' could be the monthly feature film which can actually be streamed through the little doojammer in the projection booth, provided its workings are explained 😀 Additionally, we could have an 'adult' night to feature some of the up and coming talent from Valmont Entertainment -- though being in the child approved area of the sim, that may be hard to coordinate. There's also the possibility of working in conjunction with the Comiquities to coordinate new release movies and paraphernalia.

OTHER:I loved worked with HELP, and would have kept it running indefinitely if I had the disposable income for it. As it is, I'm offering to run one of the official groups so I can help promote RP in the sim using one of the existing groups that is in need of leadership.
