BACKGROUND: I'd want to firstly do what I can to make the business active again - and a lot of that is just being there. If someone is in a business, RPing, that alone can do a LOT to draw people to it. Some regular events that couple happen are things like doing a crepe of the month by letting people vote on a new flavor to include (as it's a little French bistro), discounted wine on a certain day of the week, something like a wine & cheese tasting, brunch on the weekends, so on and so forth. I'd love to also find ways to get involved with other businesses around the sim (such as pastries made by the bakery being sold at the bistro, meats purchased from the butcher's shop, even a French movie night with whomever may be running the theater at this point). I would do my best to make all feel included, making sure to RP with each new hire and maintain a presence in their RP working life. As far as management goes, Alex was the manager for the Berthier Street Bakery and was the supervisor for Hathian Motors, so she has experience being a sort of leader - this seems the most logical step, doing it on her own terms.

 

UNIQUE: It's a French bistro - it's different than a typical burger joint or other greasy foods that you might find around Hathian. It will feature things like crepes, onion soup, souffle's, and so forth. It's all something very different from what you typically would see in the area. I'd love to also have it as sort of a great little place to go for things like little private, sort of chic parties for birthday's, holidays, etc..

 

EXPERIENCE:I myself have been an assistant manager and such in RL jobs, which will help me (hopefully!) keep on top of things and keep things moving (and fun!). I also do my best to be patient & understanding & friendly, which will hopefully draw people towards the business itself.

 

IDEAS:By being there and being accessible! My IMs are always open and I work from home, so I'm often around and available if anyone needs me or wants a scene or whatever else. I'd do my best to make sure that new employees feel included, like their RP at the bistro means something (giving them input on the menu and so forth), and the same will go for new players. There's something to be said about not needing to NPC staff members & the like, about having that sort of interaction with someone at a business.

 

OTHER:I would love to do something like a Make Your Own Crepe party, where people could come and make what they consider to be the perfect crepe (sweet AND savory ones!) and the top one of each would be on the menu for that month, with a portion of the proceeds going to that person.
