24 Hours Pawn Shop

TYPE: Official Business – Pawn Shop

BACKGROUND: As a leader, I would plan to try to get the pawn shop up and running again by bringing in more customers, bringing in more active employees, and trying to get some RP focused around buying, selling, and loaning out money. What kind of city doesn't have a way for its citizens to get some cash quickly or a way for criminals to quickly rid themselves of stolen goods? Regular events would include deals on firearms, knives, electrionics, etc, as well as deals should you choose to loan and item for some cash. Of course, there could be a time when maybe a certain group or person/people are given the right to sell 'hot' goods, while Kiana would like the other way, turning a blind eye to such things, while maybe she is paid by another group to watch for activity from another, which in turn would have her (or other employees) giving tips to the police. As she is also a reporter for The Observer, this would bring in many things, which in turn the employees would be expected or pressured to follow Kiana's lead.

UNIQUE: As previously stated, 24 Pawn Shop could give a little more depth to role play. Everyone needs an avenue to purchase weapons, phones, and just all around second hand goods that they may not be able to acquire from anywhere else. Burner phones, anyone?

EXPERIENCE: While I have not been in CD that long, I have been role playing for upwards of ten years now and have been on SL for almost as long. I have managed clubs, managed groups, and helped others do so. With that said, I am also very patient and understanding. I realize that this is only RP and RL should always come first, no matter what.

IDEAS: There are tons of ways that things can go and that the business could get involved with. Perhaps there can be a scheme where a certain group is hired to shake people down for the money they owe on loans? Of course, those new to the sim or just new employees can be brought in on this. With the previously mentioned idea, employees would need to be on board with whatever should happen in the pawn shop, wether it by their own or by being paid off, pressured, etc. Also, a group would need to be pulled in, perhaps for security or as the ones to shake down those who owe on their loans.

OTHER: As a grand re-opening event a huge sale would be hosted, including good deals on loans and items. Maybe a buy one get one type of thing?
