AnonymoussaidOk, so before I start I just want to say that this is not in any way a dig at anyone, just something I've noticed and that's happened to me. I'm posting it to see if anyone else finds this an issue and whether there's a way that we can avoid it happening. I find that in big group RP, everything gets so busy that anyone new to the scene often has their post ignored. Understandably (and I've done it too), you look for the posts from the character you were directly interacting with because it takes so long to read everyone else's as well. Now, normally, I would just stay clear of big group situations because they're busy enough without me jumping in, but where I have found it difficult is with rping FDH. You arrive at a scene with one of more casualties which have a tendency to draw a crowd, everyone is posting like crazy, and nobody reads your posts. At best you just have to post again. At worst, it's frustrating because characters get pissed off with yours for not doing things you've already done or they get up and walk off, not realising you've sent an NPC EMT over to them. I'm looking for any thoughts on how the incomer or the existing rpers can avoid it happening. |
