Austin DeeresaidAustin was born in the great state of Texas where his father was a Rancher, a brutaly strict man who managed to teach his son that ‘might’ almost always made ‘right’. Growing up on a ranch had it's benefits, and by 18 Austin had learned to ride and handle firearms like an expert. Not seeing the point in college, he enlisted in the Army, pulling two tours in Afghanistan and rising to the rank of Staff Sgt as his squad’s designated marksman before getting out after 6 years. With the little bit of money he had managed to save, he moved to the Dallas area, where he first did security work for a number of years before eventually joining the Dallas PD. Coming home early one day, he found his fiancé in the arms of another man. Dragging the man outside, he beat him nearly to death. Unfortunately for Austin, he was still in uniform at the time and a neighbor caught the whole incident on his phone, posting it to social media. Without context, the video hit the news media within hours under the headline “Yet another cop brutalizes innocent man” spelling the end of Austin’s 8 years with the DPD. His Captain took pity on him though and writing him an excellent letter of recommendation, he pointed Austin to Hathian where he had heard he would likely be able to continue his career, and where his transgression and heavy handed nature might not stand against him |
