Life has not always been kind to Ally. Although she was raised in a regular, stable home in the 80s, she got involved with the wrong people and hard drugs far too early. She became one of them and also dragged others down with her.

Even her relationship with her ex couldn't change the fact that she couldn't live an everyday life. Her marriage failed despite owning a family home and having children. She became a mother in her twenties and gave birth first to a son and then to a little daughter. They have been living with their father recently, as living with Ally was unbearable.

For 20 years, her addiction had been unfolding. Today she would do anything for the next high. Her criminal record is still clean, but how long will it stay that way?
The small job in the backwaters at that gay club is insufficient to fund her addiction.
Many times Ally was offered help. Various therapies failed. Somewhere hidden deep, the desire to be clean still lives. Could she make it in a town like Backwaters with nearby Hathian?

You can tell she's run down by now, the rock bottom about to hit. She can be sarcastic, funny, and she's not stupid either. Even though she's lost a lot, no one can take away Ally's street wisdom. At least as long as she's still sane. With a shudder, she always quickly passes the new Asylum. She doesn't want to land there, at least! God beware.
