Hi folks,

My characters name is Ahbar, not sure why but I must've been feeling pretty weird the night I chose that name because I can't even remember why I chose it! He grew up in New Orleans, LA in a little community called Algiers. Childhood was rather dramatic as it is for any other kid growing up in New Orleans. He grew up fast, learned to not take lip from anyone and became accustomed to seeing the dirt of the city everyday. Tired of it all, he went a much different course than his peers, he went to school. He achieved a degree and was going for a career in medicine when his mother was shot during a batched drive-by in downtown New Orleans. Finally sickened by it all he applied to become a sheriffs deputy with the Jefferson Parish Sheriffs Department in an effort to try and "clean up" the city... how little did he know.

After months of waiting and testing he was accepted into the academy and within a year was on the streets of Jefferson Parish. Then one night he was code 3 to the scene of a high-risk warrant to assist other officers. When he arrived everything was code 4 and on the ground lay 3 young men shot by police, apparently they had tried shooting the officers and were put down because of it. One of his friends, a narcotics officer involved in the raid came up and patted him on the back, "Good job tonight, a bit late but always glad to have you around pal." He looked up at the narcotics officer, "Anytime bud, anytime...". The next week as he walked down the department hall he saw his friend along with 3 other detectives in handcuffs being led away by Internal Affairs agents, he had never seen this before and as such was inquiring to others what was going on.

The raid conducted the week previous was a batched raid, the detectives were corrupt and ultimately had to end the lives of the 3 civilians who knew their business. Unfortunately for the detectives, one of the young men they had shot was a nephew to a State Trooper, who knew his nephew was not into drugs. After watching one of his best pals, a man he graduated the academy with, a friend he drank with be arrested for murdering an innocent civilian, Ahbar decided it was time to move on. He placed a lateral transfer form for the Hathian Police Department in with his boss...

End of story... so far...

Anyways, a bit about the real me. I did actually grow up in New Orleans, in a west bank community called Algiers. At 6 I knew I wanted to be a police officer, just like every other kid on my street. At 21, I made it happen, after applying for at least 8 different departments around an hours drive radius from my home, and many many many many many many... (did I mention many?) tests later I was accepted into the JPSO, Jefferson Parish Sheriffs Department.

I stayed with them for 4 years, and then I got a bug... a bug to move north, the bug was my girlfriend, and she wanted snow. After applying and waiting for more than my girlfriend would've like too (she wanted a white Christmas that year...) I was accepted into a city department here in Alaska, where I have been for 2 years now. I am a FTO (field training officer) for my department as well, which means when a new class of cadets is released into the jungle, I am assigned to one and have him with me for 3 months in which I teach him everything there is to know about being a law enforcement officer.

Whew, a lot of writing... good thing I like writing, right? If you want to be an officer, you must LOVE to write. As for SL, I was introduced by a friend of mine from grade school who is a content creator, and a very successful one I might say... I've always had a knack for making weird things and the usability of SL and its features took me in. It is an amazing platform by which to create dreams and make new friendships around the world and I am glad to be here to share my experiences and life with others.
