I'm glad to see the kids/foster-parents thread being used and this has certainly turned into a great sub-section of CD RP.

Now time I think for the grownup-grownup relationships to get a slice of the pie 🙂

As a relatively new player to CD this year, my character doesn't have the advantages that some of the more established players' characters have in that they have player characters as family members. I've also left it a bit late to be able to slot in out-of-the-box with other people's established family dynamics (although reworking of his backstory is not out of the question). I feel that Leo (at 18 yo) is also too young to adopt and go down the baby route right now even if he has a girlfriend. But he does have an NPC family which is at the moment in the background. It would be nice to be able to gradually convert some of those NPC family members into PC family members as he's otherwise quite alone in Hathian.

This thread isn't just about Leo however. I've been reading some people's profiles where they state they have certain people as family members and certain as NPC and are willing to consider people to be taken in to replace those NPCs. It seems therefore to be a fairly common wish, and perhaps there should be a system to make this easier, in the same way that the foster-parent/kid thread has done for that side of family relationships.

So this is a kind of adult adoption thread / lonely hearts column for family relationships 😛

If your character requires adult PCs to replace adult NPC family members, post here, saying what you need (father/mother/brother/sister etc), their rough age, what sort of character, their background etc. A sort of wishlist. And then people who want to volunteer for this can do so here or contact you in-world.

The other person could be an existing character, or the player if they preferred could set up an alt to fulfil the requirements, depending on the situation.
