Below is a notecard that I give out to all the people that are involved in my gang and prospective members that are looking to join my gang. This is by no means law, or god, or the final say so.. but its usual conventions that if followed people enjoy the RP rather than leave utterly pissed off or god forbid the scene ending in a void

We know that some of us have not fought is quite a long time so this is a refresher on how things should play out

First and Foremost
Keep it real, if there is an issue with a scene or someone else's action LOG IT.. you must log the scene, How you choose to do this is up to you, but you have to log it. No one can help if you don't log it

Second
Keep the OOC banter to a minimal at most. I would prefer that it didn't happen, but I understand that there are times, if you can please take it to IM. Please keep the OOC bashing out of IC posts. This is bad taste and bad roleplay. If you are going to insult someone say it in chat in character so that they can respond. If you have a problem with someone, just avoid them its that simple

Keep it real
We all hate carrying kryptonite around, so don't make other people do it. If all else fails play the scene out normally, get your ass beat, then refer to step one. Don't compound on the problem by refusing to give in, we all hate getting beat all the time or if a scene doesn't go your way.. but this is RP, if its really bad again refer to step one

Weapons
Guns are a last resort, use them as such.
For ANY WEAPON with a few exceptions. Draw and attack are two different posts. Reloads are their own separate post. Combat is turn based, keep it that way. Its less confusion and its easier to work out.

Fighting in general

In hand combat, no more than two strikes in one post, and keep from moving half way across the grid doing back flips out of it. If you post two hits, its only proper to take one. Meaning Person A posts two hits. Person B takes one of the hits and retaliates with his own strikes. When it comes to shooting, 3 shots maximum, I would prefer 1 to 2 but I will let you use your digression. If you are attacked from behind or overwhelmed, chances are your going to get your ass beat, you are not Jet Li. Cops are always to be listened to, within reason. Chances are you will get out of it if you just play along.

and above all remember this is NOT about winning or losing. your telling a story, you don't have the be the biggest bad ass to be a memorable or influential character in major story lines. The Crack Den is NOT about fighting though its bound to happen, do your part to keep it clean and keep the Crack Den from turning into Sesame Street because of people not understanding this very simple concept

there is your refresher course, if you need anything feel free to IM an admin or security member and they can answer your questions.
