the small town sitting on the waters edge. Quiet,and peaceful as they all sleep, their minds escaping form the present day realitity to far off places only reached in dreams.
Suddenly the silence is broken by the barking of dogs scattered across town.
Then it happens.
the ground begins to shake dishes rattle and fall from cubbords people are dumped from their beds in total confusion as the world shakes around them.
The flames from broken gas lines shatter windows as the flames reach out like devilish hands grasping at the unwary who may be within reach.
Then it becomes silent. The air is filled with the roaring sound of the gas fires ,the spraying of ruptered waterlines and frightened cries for help.
from the oceanside the water begins to recede like some fast moving tide.
Then a breese begins to blow inland getting stronger and stronger until on the horizen a huge wave is seen rushing towards the town like a wild stampede of horses ready to trample all within their paths.
The wave hits the barrior reef far off shore crashing like thunder the remaining energy rushing towards the city in one last wave hitting the sea wall and sending a surge of water rushing through the streets to the pawn shop before receding pulling debree back with it like greedy hands pulling any thing within its reach, back out to sea.
People begin to stagger from their homes. most of the buildings are still standing but some on fire. the sound begins to fill with the sound of sirens as rescue crews rush towards the water front to search for survivors trapped in the buildings as well as those unlucky ones who didnt make it that are scattered through out the town. The small hospitol is filled with screaming and crying people begging to be taken care of the doctors and nurses running room to room caring for these people.
In the period after another threat begins to rise from the rubble like an evil Phoenix rising from the ashes. It is anarchy. The Police in a state of turmoil is powerless to stop the groups of people running building to building looting , the sound of breaking glass following them street to street. People with old grudges fight it out in the street the sound of random gunfire echoing across the town. Small gangs form walking the town looking for women who are unaware of the danger aproaching and begin to fill the air with their screams as they are raped and brutalized.
The following day The police begin to get a handle on the lawlessness,deputizing some of the regular citizens and soon the jail begins to fill as the courts begin to try these people on a multitude of crimes.
The once quiet town is now buzzing with activity as they begin to repair their lives and put this rude awakining behind them.

Here is a sim wide scenerio that could play out for days and have everyone involved.

The hospitol and emergency crews have a role,the courts and lawyers will have roles,The police will be busy and could possibly deputize people who might want to play a cop for the day.the thieves can loot. Hell the supply of RP stories is endless on something like that.
