Neon Lotus

BACKGROUND: My character is of Japanese background and has deep connections with organized crime. I feel like this fits nearly perfectly with both the themes of the Lotus and BW as a whole. I would try to stay faithful to then Izakaya vibe of the build. A relaxed attitude for unwinding after work but with the privacy needed to conduct 'business' over drinks. I would try to help new employees get involved by providing menus and OOC information so even those not familiar with Japanese culture can quickly get up to speed. Some events that would fit the setting would be Karaoke nights, Sake tastings and Formal nights where guests are encouraged to dress in cultural costume.
UNIQUE: I would try to keep and enhance the cultural flavor of the Lotus. It already stands out as an Asian themed drinking establishment so I would lean into that as heavily as possible. Encourage staff to dress for the role regardless of their IC nationality.
EXPERIENCE: I've been around CD for many years now and been involved in running many of the businesses. I'm relatively easy to get along with and willing to collaborate with others to run events and drive business. I'm also willing to hang out in a location to show presence on the map/cam to help attract attention even if it means less rp for me personally.
IDEAS: New players should find an Izakaya like Neon Lotus an approachable location to get started. Even if you know nothing about the culture, it's supposed to be a relaxed atmosphere so everyone is welcome as long as they're not causing trouble and staff would be encouraged to help guide patrons through the menu and answer questions. For new staff providing information about the cultural elements and the menu so they can focus on the scene building instead of worrying about background details.
OTHER: Let the Sake flow! Free drinks and encourage sampling so the locals can get familiar with the product and make connections.
