Crooked Key Jazz Restaurant

TYPE: Fine Dining

BACKGROUND: We don't have any posh places in the city. I want to create a space that feels upscale and important. The Jazz spot should be where high-stakes business deals are done, where a man can bed an expensive escort, and where a man can take his woman for a nice dinner and atmosphere. I want to lean into this place feeling like you need to be wealthy to be in the room. My character is a trust fund baby and the single largest shareholder of a multinational cloud computing company since her father's death. She has money and is a bit bougie. While she does love the quaintness of Laveau, she's also used to penthouses, mansions, and private islands. Since she can't really get a lot of that in Laveau, she creates spaces as much as she can. The Jazz spot would be a place that fits that aesthetic for her. New employees would be asked to put on their own event just to get them involved. It can be small scale like a Rich Auntie Brunch or Gentlemen's Talk or something or something larger like an on location conference for professors at CU or something. I definitely want to involve other areas to become a destination spot instead of waiting on foot traffic.

UNIQUE: I will make things stand out by holding events like singles mixers, live jazz nights, and other high-class events that make the place a destination. I don't imagine that most will visit daily so much as it's a special occasion type spot that caters to an upscale experience.

EXPERIENCE: I've been running entire rp sims since 2008. I've even coded rp player management systems (I'm a software engineer) so I'm adept at how to create great story telling experiences that keep players creating. It's the very reason I've been on every sim Nadir has ever built.

IDEAS: I plan to empower them with tasks that are their responsibility so that they can build a story around that responsibility. It helps keep people activated so they aren't looking for their leader to jump off stories all the time.

OTHER: For a grand opening event, I would have a wine-tasting and charcuterie event. The goal is to plan the menu so we have folks come in and give us ideas on what they want to see and hear.
