Labor Union

BACKGROUND: I've dealt with Unions in the real world for years, and have been in them. I role play Chas as having similar experience through having been in the automotive industry for years. For realism, there will be accuracy for all things involved. In role play, Chas managed the Twister for Blue for a long time so would offer her as a reference to the powers that be. Events are easy, fund raising for workers in the Unions would be common place. There'd be cook outs, concerts, car washes etc. It would tie to a lot of the other Hathian businesses as well. Hiring people from different local shops & stores to cater, entertain, car wash babes from bars and so forth. The Union & Contractors could also sponsor other events through the city (and sims). New employees would be given all the opportunities to learn from or bring their ideas in for more events and underground business deals. Everyone would have free reign to go out and make contacts and make money with Union visits as the front. A lot of room given for creativity within reason. (for realism).

UNIQUE: Unions wouldn't typically stand out though OOC, because Chas is a Reject it would have a lot of seedy underground business going on. Fights, betting, chopping cars and so on. It would organically grow into more of an organized crime operation so fencing and collecting fees would involve a lot of people as well. As with anything else, the rumors would fly and word would get out about the Union itself. Rumors that would require proof of course.

EXPERIENCE:Real life experience in upper management in the automotive industry for many years. On SL, I've owned other RP sims and moderated/admin for several so being meticulous about accuracy and fairness in RP is a priority.

IDEAS:As a gang member IC, I already try to engage as many people as possible in role play. Attracting folks to the business would be added to the mix. Anyone signing up, I will make every attempt possible to actually be there to interview them IC and guide them in what ever direction I feel might feed their strengths/preferences.

OTHER:I would have to think about it, but Chas has recently been recruited into a band so it would likely involve them. One idea might be an underground style re-opening with the above mentioned fights and betting. Or a public one with the band, car wash, catered food and so forth.
