Welcome to the Fundamentals of Nursing!
(Note: Will appear as Nursing 101, or N101, on your transcripts and report cards)

This is a recurring elective course that will prepare you for a career in the medical field! If you’ve ever wanted to become a nurse, physician’s assistant, doctor, EMT, or paramedic then this course will help provide you with the basic skills you’ll need to pass entry exams and practical skills.

This course will include skills such as blood drawing, patient vitals, body examinations, anatomy, pelvic exams (male and female), screening for tumors (self and peer check), and more! This will not be covered during one class, but over the course of several classes through the semester.

Also note that this class will include opportunities for class participation. While it is not required, it will result in extra credit being added on to final grade. For those not in the medical program, this course can still be attended for General Graduation Credits.
