Rub N Tug

BACKGROUND: It has been years since Max owned The Rub N tug, it's definitely in character her biggest regret of failing the Pink's, and letting this pearl slip away. She has a hate/love understanding/relationship with the place, and ideally -- she would either run it or burn it to the ground. It's an old story arc, and I had Max run with it since she's been back. In her eyes, this would put her back where she was years ago, and she'd do things differently. In her point of view, she would right all the wrongs -- and it would give me as the writer of Max purpose, as I've felt hard to imagine her doing anything else, besides this. The parlor, in Max's eyes, deserves some discrete tactics, making it a hub where you can get what you came in for. Whether you are looking to wind down or whether you are looking to get 'something' up. The nature of the business remains the same, Massages, bringing back the teas and keeping the possibilities of happy endings, very much alive -- less, obvious than Lauri has, but you know. You'll walk away with a smile. Although knowing Max -- even without the building not being red anymore like it used to be, it will always be her little red den of iniquities. So, like back in the day -- the main purpose would be to keep libidinous stories alive, hell -- with the harlots in town, it makes it especially interesting, although Max would do business with gangs she as an individual cares to keep friends, foes and enemies alike within arms reach and make the Rub N Tug a neutral place. It will also bring back the wild idea's that include- but are not limited to record sessions, voyeurism, blackmail running and stashing drugs and collaborations with businesses on bourbon street, and those outside of it. This was always a thing that drew me in when Jack (tayler.rhiadra) ran it, and I wish we could've dabbled in it more, but I'd love to bring back some darker sheds of red to the parlor. Back then, our main focus was to enable stories and to have personal contact OOCly & ICly with employees. In that aspect, it always felt easy to run the Rub N Tug -- and I had a great time doing it. As it's often forgotten and abandoned as sex, is easy to get in Hathian. Regardless, I always was able to draw in a crowd, and have things escalate and happen, surrounding bourbon street and the Rub N Tug -- I'd hope I would be able to re-create that feeling, where walk-ins and troubling stories are encouraged and spice up the Red-light district, gracing it with Max's presence, and focusing on keeping old/new relationships alive. The difference between back then, and now -- is, that my personal situation has changed. I'm still going to be out of town for periods of time, but it's likely to happen, less. Which means I have a wider open schedule to RP. The reason I gave up the Rub N Tug was that I was touring too often, and to busy with RL. I stepped away from RP for a couple of years, but am now, fully available (Besides occasionally some weekends, and weeks) and back. IC, Max would be reaching out to the former owner Lauri Mayfair, and willing to do sell IC. Besides that Lauri ran it as some sort of brothel, and Max always has too -- so this, could mean that they keep some connections tied and keep stories running, even with the change of management. For events, anything is possible. From speed datings, to street events, collaborations and making use of Hathian and its businesses, I've learned from watching events be made and created that -- collaboration and a promise of a good time, are the most fun and unique scenes, I'd aim to cater both to EU, and US timezones (and those outside of it). I'd love to make it all about girls, girls, girls -- but I would definitely have to branch out Max's connections. Nevertheless, when I ran the Rub N tug years ago I was inexperienced in setting things up and usually would struggle with this side of things. Now, I've run other businesses in SL and have a little bit more confidence to reach out and make something work. Ideas are always welcome. I want to focus on how to make something happen, without questioning if we can make it happen -- 'We will make it happen' and I always have loved the idea of working together with the neighbors on the red light district, and those tied to it.

UNIQUE: Its operations are inevitably shaped by the personality and values of its new leader -- so as this is all a wholehearted throwback, I'd aim to make the place a bit dirtier, a bit more secretive, fight against the stigma it has held for years. And like back then, my goal is to steer the massage parlor in an innovative direction that goes beyond the typical expectations associated with such establishments, while -- on the other hand, perhaps enabling it at the same time. It has always been supposed to be filthy. And lecherous at heart. I aim to create a dual nature for the parlor, encouraging patrons to explore both the legitimate and more risqué aspects of the business or even to blend the two together. It's about embracing a touch of edginess, while still maintaining an alluring and captivating atmosphere. Massages will be a must, happy endings too -- but no idea will be too wild.

EXPERIENCE:I've been a musician, running my own band for the last 10 years, I managed several bars in RL, and I have always designed a lot of my own flyers, artwork and video's and I aim to do this for the Rub N Tug too. I'll try to either set up a twitter account or try to get my hands on the old on, while using digital skills and the tool of the internet, as I'm naturally known to promote it, as I also promote my own music in RL. So, I work with a lot of close friends, and I make major decisions on daily basis. I've experienced that no-one thinks the same way, and what might be logical for someone might not be logical for you. So, communication is NEEDED! and I'm a well communicator, and enabler. I hope to be able to draw people in, and make the Rub N Tug the enigma it is supposed to be.

IDEAS:COMMUNICATION! IC & OOC, the use of forums, google documents, notices and what not. Warm welcomes are important, and IM's to welcome one to the business and set up IC meetings, or throw bones-ehm-stories to one and another. I'll spend a lot of time down there, and will try to reunite- and connect everyone, so we can all write and play together.

OTHER:Ha! I thought about this, one of the events that drew Max to the Rub N Tug was a senses event, although it's done before by Jack, I'm definitely thinking something like-minded. Or we can just have a big ole orgy. No, just kidding. I love a good block-party, too. It would have to be a bit major since it's Max reuniting with her long-lost love, so I'll have a few words with business owners a-like and see if we can make a nice, big event -- where we all work together on something fun.
