Macen isn't new here but I'm finally on the forums so I guess I'll give a brief introduction.

Macen first came to Hathian as 'Mace' about five years ago, a girl dressed as, and pretending to be a boy in order to keep herself safe. A gay transplant from South Carolina, adopted and raised by poor but good people she grew up in a trailer park.

She got married at 17 to her childhood sweetheart, Shinju, an exchange student in order to keep her in the country. They are still technically married although they have been estranged for five years, since Mace first left South Carolina and came to Hathian.

She works part-time at Lou's still, slinging drinks but she's also a Trauma Therapist at Hathian Civil Services and Hathian General Hospital which is her main gig.

Macen is a steel magnolia, southern through and through despite being Latina. In fact, she speaks very little Spanish and is pretty disconnected from her heritage.

She's friendly but full of fire.
