Born as a twin, into a dysfunctional family & being a witness to the violent abuse, his brother, Thomas, suffered in their youth, Rhett took on the role of protector, looking after the guy as best he could between beatings and that way of life continued after their parents died, under somewhat suspicious circumstances. Luckily, no one suspected the two teens & they moved away to make a fresh start, living as quietly as they could, always being careful to stay under the radar, in Chicago, where they both worked at the local fishmarket. They were fine without anyone else coming in, messing things up. That included doctors. They saw a few. Some therapy here, some medication there, but ultimately they all came to the same conclusion, that Thomas needed to be housed in a psychiatric unit, permanently. Unable to accept losing his brother, and seeing how the idea of going away distressed Thomas, he stubbornly continued to take the responsibility of taking care of the guy, until Thomas went missing one day, in April 2020. Now Rhett has turned up in Hathian, after seeing a certain video on Twitter, his brother's mad ravings recognisable to the man who's been searching like mad for his twin since he lost him, ten months ago. |
