PROPOSAL BY: Melciuh Ceriano
GROUP NAME: OmniCorp Protection
TYPE: Security
SLURL: Teleport
BACKSTORY: Crack Den has seen it's fair share of security groups come and go. It's my intention to create a group that will have a rather involved presence with the businesses of the sim, dealing with their day to day issues with the high rising crime of Hathian. As far as the group is concerned, it will be for now an entirely corporate and private entity, where businesses such as the local bars, stores and any other business can acquire a little protective manpower. This will be particularly useful to those businesses that suffer problems from gangs. The security group will act as a first point of contact in some situations towards the criminal district and often end up involving the HPD (and you'll get the occasional rent-a-cop solo vigilante assuredly) to help settle the matters. With some good advice from individuals in CD, I have aborted my initial gang plans with the security group and instead decided to focus on the business agenda and create a mostly legal and community involved security group for those players that are interested in the uniformed services roles.
UNIQUE: The business will not initially have a headquarters. This is because, as a company, I want to build it from the ground upwards and integrate it into the Hathian's history - much like the Grind, Lou's and TT for example have all embedded themselves into the sim. A headquarters will, once the roleplay deems it so, come into effect (I.E. Successful business) As a group they will operate on the contracted premises and later, once the business element expands, start to diversify their specializations in the security sector and start to progress into other more defined roles in society. It is my aim to generate a business that will, at least initially, be clean and able to function with all businesses and CD players on all levels. In later considerations, they might also be subcontracted by Governmental bodies, such as the Civil Enforcement centre or HPD to perform roles at the recommendation of Hathian's lead.
EXP:I've got a decade of roleplay experience from various game servers and sims - and I have two years roleplay experience actually on Crack Den as Sohbian Lethecus (Naomi Loken Carmela), and now my current character, Owen Wesley. I am keen, enthusiastic, methodical and systematic. I see an end goal and will work towards it.
IDEAS:Adding in comfortable, realistic layers between the citizens, gangs and police can only be a good thing. Private security contractors, much like in real life tend to act as a very good buffer against crime and only involve a new outlook into the law vs criminality prospect. Naturally, given Hathian's PD reputation for historic animosity as well as it's general brutality aspects, I do believe security groups can benefit to those players who want to create an additional layer of protection against the criminals (and maybe a few criminal police officers) that may presently or in the future work against them IC.
OTHER:With the approval successful, I will then invest time and money into making everything about the business look good and proper - including unique uniforms for male and female security operatives, including ID tags and eventually much more. I intend to take the business far and wish it to evolve into whatever Hathian and it's denizens can twist it to.
