Let Me Out

Do any of you remember a girl named Taz? That's where it all started, the very first person I spoke to in Hathian on my very first day there, well... here. Feisty little bitch, I loved her once. So we decided, Taz and I, to get up to no good. Who was I? Some tough-chick wanna-be. No one. I didn't know my ass from my damn elbow, fresh off the bus from nowhere and then Hathian came up and hit me like a fist.

We decided to rob this little whore we saw going into the old Master Bates and this was god... years ago. Have I really been here this long?

Next thing I know, while we're knocking on her door, the cops show up like they've got wings. Greg, Max, a paramedic named Dax who would later be a detective named Dax who would later be a ghost named Dax, not dead but good as. Gone, rotted away in every way that matters... but I'm getting ahead of myself.

So there we are, two girls hellbent on trouble. I've been in town for less than an hour and I'm ready to drop the act and surrender when Taz, God bless her insane little self, kicks up a ruckus. It's funny now but I don't really remember everything that happened, it's all kind of a blur.

Bottom line, I wound up with a gunshot in my leg getting crated off to the hospital for surgery and then released straight into the local friendly HPD. I wasn't there too long before, well, here comes Max. Nazi skinhead prick. He cuffed me to the doors of the cell and whipped me with his belt. I fought within an inch of my life, but it didn't stop him from sodomizing me.

Welcome to Hathian, right?

I had no idea at the time that the ball had just been set into motion that would set the tone for the rest of my life. Change me. Change everything.

Max was in with Carly against every rule in the book and the next day here she comes, Blood Mama, pit bull in every way and she tells me the Bloods can protect me. Max told her I was worth something, a fighter, feisty... funny now, years later, worlds later, saying the name Max still makes my stomach contract. The way we met, you would never have guessed the way we would eventually part.

So there's Carly, five feet of fighting fury and holding out some tempting bait because at this point I'm wondering how the hell I'm going to make it in this place. So I joined them, joined the KD Bloods.

Next day, I go out on my crutches and I see Carly holding down Lex, carving over his heart. Prettiest man I ever saw, I thought he was a woman. I don't think I'll ever forget that feeling,the first time I looked at a man and felt a lick of lust, of wanting not just to fuck him, but to possess him. Lex had that effect on a lot of people. That was my introduction to the Rejects.

Three days in Hathian and I'm shot, sodomized, have joined a gang and met the acquaintance of another. Taz and Carly, Quigly and Dooby - these were the people I called my friends. GANOOL!

Funny, this is a terrible story yet I remember it with reverie. I'm wistful for those days. It was a lot simpler then. Kill or be killed, there's no bullshit there. Well yeah, it's late. I'll continue this later. Just got to thinking about how this all started, how I got to where I am now. It makes me wish I had recorded everything. Week one in Hathian and I had fallen victim to most of its evils... but I also knew I had finally found my way home.
