The Corrections Department's clergy will be holding Confessional and Compassion services every Wednesday and Sunday, or anytime by request so long as it does not interfere with the normal operations of the prison. All faiths will be honoured. Atheists are welcome to attend. Nobody will be preached at unless they want to be. Ask for, or find, Father Blackburn.

Also, donations of books and notebooks are coming in thick from local charities and from the suburbs of New Orleans and the Government. All prisoners are welcome to borrow books so long as they are not going to be used as weapons or for attempts at escape. Father Blackburn will be by to facilitate this program, which is separate from the Church. He is doing this out of the kindness of his heart.

Father Blackburn and the NPC clergy will be happy to speak with anyone with concerns, and will advocate sincerely on any inmate's behalf should they feel an attack on their God-given dignity has been performed, or if they witness or are the victim of a crime against God, the Government of Louisiana and all things Holy and just.

Peace be with you, and God bless,
Father Blackburn.
