BACKGROUND: Smash Kings Productions will be yet another porn company in Hathian, but with a twist that should differentiate it from the others. While it certainly produces pornographic films, it realizes profits not from commercial sales, but through extensive copyright trolling and litigation. (If you're familiar with the real-world saga of Prenda Law, Smash Kings will be run on a very similar business model.) Rather than being in competition with the other two studios, then, Smash Kings will attempt to work in cooperation with them, acquiring the copyrights of their less valuable productions and attempting to make them profitable through aggressive copyright trolling and extortion. From an RP standpoint, we're attempting to be the "not nice" porn company. The whole business model is a scam that falls into a legal gray area, essentially, and we're generally going for a sleazy, slimy vibe where the guys at the top make off with all the money in the end, and everybody else gets screwed.

 

UNIQUE:

 

EXPERIENCE:I saw an opening to combine the two areas of RP I'm interested in - being a sleazy lawyer, and providing avenues for characters who are interested to wind up in suboptimal arrangements. I think a concept like this, with a reason to network and form agreements with the "competition," will provide a lot of avenues of RP and some good storylines.
