I'm not sure where to begin, so here goes: it's break time for me and the professor. I've been thinking, or trying to think, about this for the last couple of weeks and yesterday the good folks at LL and/or Comcast did me a favour by keeping me offline most of the day. As the hours passed, I found myself taking a look around the world of RL and ... it's not so pretty right now. Many of you know me to be a fairly private person, so we'll leave it at that.

Furthermore, I've been forced to admit that I am quite simply losing my character. A lot of this probably stems from the RL side of things, which have made it a bit harder for me to process all of my in-character affairs as well. What it all comes down to at the end of the day is that I've been trying to hard to keep everyone else happy, to build up these storylines and create all these opportunities for rp, that my own has been suffering and it's time for me to be selfish (an homage to the prof, whose advice I must now ironically follow).

At this point I don't know how long or how completely I'll be gone. I'll still be online, but hopefully not as much. I know there will be a few loose ends that need tying, so I'm thinking that this will be a gradual phasing out of my character should I remove him completely from the Den. I have a lot of obligations to people here, and I don't want any of you to feel neglected, but this is something I have to do. We'll play it by ear for now, but I'm going to start with at least taking off a few nights at a time and go from there.

Whatever goes down, I want you all to know that in spite of everything, I've had a blast. It's been a hell of a ride, and right now I want to give my sincerest thanks to everyone I've had the opportunity to play with here.
