BACKGROUND: Hathian Tourism Center would be open to the new and old of Hathian to provide direction to the area businesses as well as the cities notable Landmarks such as the Grand Ferris Wheel, lush beaches, old church and ancient cemetery as well as the ruins from Hurricane Katrina. It would allow for Role-players to interact on the ground as well as having the website and newspaper to look up Businesses that they might wish to frequent as well as personal interaction for directions and possible advertisements. Often, players do not utilize the website or forget about it I have found. The Tourism Center would give an on the ground area to find what businesses are available through actual interaction.
The welcome center could provide:
- Warm welcomes
- Directions to businesses as well as menus or services offered. (LM's will be added as well)
- Possible job openings as listed by business owners.
- Opportunity for the 15+ youth to get involved with a job that is not in the fast food industry but to work on their people skills. (Often a joke in Hathian) As well as the youngers since it would not be located in a RedZone.
- To work closely with Sheltered Hearts to see that new comers and old with out the resources to take care of themselves know where they can go.
- Would like to hold fund-raisers to help various charities in town. Some thoughts are bringing in canned goods to help the shelter as well as a walking ghost tour that would possibly involve some fo the factions in different spots. Admittance would be low cost since Hathian is in a sense a poverty stricken town.
- There would possibly be a business of the week to be showcased on the wall for free advertising showing their business and or specials.
- In the long run, the building/business might serve as a front for more unscrupulous business that would not be seen by all. Possibly the front for running drugs or something else that is proposed.
- Would like to have a pamphlet vendor that will showcase businesses and their descriptions and possibly landmarks that will be updated every couple of weeks.

EXPERIENCE: I am looking forward to seeing a place that is more interactive to get the businesses of Crack Den seen. There are so many businesses out there and even I forget at times to use the website. I feel that implementing this type of business opens up many opportunities to meet more people and many possible story line that will include just about anyone around. I would like to be able to meet more people and see this as a wonderful opportunity as well. I've been role-playing in SL for about 8 years in different venues. This however is my first time doing Urban RP and I really enjoy it. I've acted as a teacher in a few sims to help others on their journeys with learning the role-play so feel I have a little experience in that area. Mostly, I am looking forward to bringing people together to have a good time.
