I have it that my teenage character likes spreading chaos and destruction. So I let her do things like attempting to break windows of bars and stuff.

That of course means, that I have to interact with the owner of the buisnesses. When they are not around I usually send them an IM to ask if it would be okay if I could destroy a window and cause some chaos. However, when an owner is right in the buisness I wonder if I have to ask then too, especially when my char just tries to throw a brick at some window to get some rp. After all with the owner being there he can decide whether or not that brick causes destruction.

As not asking before trying that lead to a big discussion from now on I will now clear up everything in IM before trying anything again.

However my question is: Is that not too much ooc that breaks the rp, to ask even if the owner of a buisness is around?
And said owner told me there would be a "RULE" to ask owner of buisnesses before making an attack. Where can I read that rule? I mean I know it is suggested and polite and I try to be polite. I just didn't see the necessarity to ask in that situation cause like I said before the Owner could have decided whether or not that brick causes damage...
I was not trying to destroy or interrupt anything oocly... I was just looking for some rp and didn't have any bad intentions.
