I have been meaning to do this for a long time now and figure right now, while rebuilding would be perfect. Many of you that play here are extremely talented and have much to contribute to this sim aside from the creativity that you deliver through your posts and storylines. Here are two ways you can showcase that:

1) I will be accepting submissions for a Hathian Tourist Map, Columtreal Student Map, and a Seaside/Fishtown map that will be given out in the new OOC area and put on the websites. How you do it, what it is named and what is shown is up to you. I don't want to make any guidelines - I want you guys to have free creative license. These maps will be voted on by the community.

Now - June 6th - Accepting submissions for CU student Maps
May, 22nd - June 22nd - Accepting submissions for Hathian Tourist Maps
TBA - Accepting Submissions for Seaside/Fishtown

    How to submit:
Email all submissions to [email protected] with the subject being which map its is (i.e. Hathian map or CU map) and your avatar name.

    How to vote:
A few days after each submission deadline I will be upload all maps to my flickr page in a designated album (Hathian Map Contest, CU, etc) and announce voting is open. To vote simply 'favorite' the picture of which map you like the best. The creators of the maps will not be posted.

2) You may have noticed the billboards around that are empty. I was going to make humorous business ads and ads for Hathian, but a better idea was presented to me. Instead, submissions with be accepted for billboard content made by the community. There is no deadline and no criteria - the billboard content will change and cycle as submissions are received and chosen. Again, you have free creative license. A good final size for it would be 512x256 or something that can be scaled down proportionally. Business managers are also able to submit textures for their signs (whether this is your creation or some one else, just give them credit. YOU have to be the person submitting. Submissions may not be chosen). Submissions should be emailed to [email protected] with the subject line "Billboard" and your avatar name. Any questions, feel free to contact Esperanza Hernandoz.

All will be properly credited if the submission is used. Once submitted all content becomes property of The Crack Den (Content will likely have to be altered to put on the site, etc).
