AnonymoussaidSo I thought I would belatedly post Leo's backstory here before he stumbled, wide-eyed and innocent into this dark town... - . _ . - . _ .- . _ . - . _ . - . _ . - . _ . - . _ . - . _ . - . _ . - . _ . - . _ . - . _ . - . _ . - . _ . - . _ . - . _ . - . _ . - . _ Leo Ducatillon was born in a tough neighborhood in New York City, the second son of a second son. When he was six years old, his mother found his dad in their bed with a cheap whore, and that was the end of that. He'd never heard such yelling in all his short life and he and his brother hid in their room, shaking in terror. Their dad came in an hour later and gave them a hug, saying he had to go but he'd see them soon. That was twelve years ago, and they never did. Now a single parent, Leo's mother moved them away to start again and struggled to make ends meet and to bring up her two boys, but she did the best she could. Her elder son made it through Hunter High, the school the boys went to, and got a job as a delivery guy in the city of Hathian. All was well for six months but then one day he failed to deliver and, after a long and fruitless search, was declared missing, presumed dead by the Hathian Police Department. Leo's mother, however, wasn't going to let go of her son just like that. A courageous woman, she sold up again and moved to Hathian with Leo, getting a job as a cleaner and using her spare time to search relentlessly for her son. Leo was yet again uprooted from his home, and with the shock of losing his brother and the background of an absent father, started to go off the rails, bunking some of his final year of high school and dabbling in soft drugs. Realising this, his mother straightened him out and made him apply to Columtreal University to make something of his life but died suddenly of a pulmonary embolism before he started there. Shocked and devastated, he went into autopilot and arrived at the College, as if nothing had happened. Although not especially academically gifted (but not stupid either), Leo was at heart a good kid and wanted to fulfil his mother's wish, though his talents were more sporting field than in the classroom. He was a junior champion Thai kickboxer, a state-level swimmer and gymnast and good at soccer and athletics too. At the back of his mind constantly however, is the gnawing absence of the brother he loved so much, the pain of losing his beloved mother suddenly and the yearning to meet the father he barely remembers... At college, majoring in Sports Science, and now turned 18, he joined the Football team and met and started to date a cheerleader who had seen him boxing shirtless in the gym one day. Her name was Teegan Lane and he would not know how much he would come to love and be supported by her in the months to come... The main thing which changed his initially stable life in Hathian was his wrongful arrest and savage beating by the HPD, after which it started to spiral out of control, as you can continue to read in his diary, The Loss of NaivetΓ©. - . _ . - . _ .- . _ . - . _ . - . _ . - . _ . - . _ . - . _ . - . _ . - . _ . - . _ . - . _ . - . _ . - . _ . - . _ . - . _ . - . _ . - . _ Thanks for taking the time to read this, and see you all in the Den π |
